Billy's Sound Samples

Here's some new stuff: MP3 you can download......

Jump....Um, here's a brand new re-working of a Classic rock tune, but if you are disturbed about the financial crisis, this'll make ya feel better. Gives a whole new meaning to the song........You'll be singing it as you pass the bank, at least a 3-story one...heh heh.Heh heh and hardy har har, yah AEG-haids....

Honeybee......Here's a blues tune that is in no hurry to get done. You in a hurrry? This song will only frustrate you-bettah give it a miss....

Why's Yo House So Big? Yes, a song written in Cambria , on the Central Coast of California, where 30% of the house are behemoth vacation homes, rarely occupied. Yep, I saw people finally build their "dream home" , and not be able to move in , because they would break their hip, and NOT be able to negotiate the many levels. Well, WE know what to do with these houses, eh!!! And this answers the question, Billy, are you a jerk? Great Harmonica work by bluesman Chris Whitby, but everything else by that jerk, Billy

Now Get Out....An old tune from the 40s, and who bettah to sing, play bass and drums than my dear partner in crime, the lovely Piper Heisig. She is the diva of swing, but as the song suggests, better keep her happy....

Downtown....What would San Luis Obispo be like if Lucy and Desi (along with Fred and Ethel) ran things? Well, don't get me going, but I believe much better.Conga line down Garden Street, no problem!!!

Blue Prelude...Let's visit with Billy and Piper again on another trip to the "You done me Wrong" bin....That's Billy's guitar sounding like a "swangin organ", and that's Piper on the "throat thomnet"...AND this tune SWINGS...

Dreaming...... A SunRa tune I picket up fro the Tin Men when I saw them in New Orleans....Ya know, after hearing this tune, I figured out what I like to do......-deliver the tune, then , ummmm, experiment with some of the gear....like I did back in the 60s...Anyway, here's kinda a Pyschodelic treatment of this musical interlude (wear headsets for mazimum 60s vibe)

Patio Furniture....The story is: What if you played a Patio Furniture Auction fun-raiser for KCBX radio, and nobody came.....Well, due to some bizarre scheduling snafu, it was slated at the same time as the Morro Bay Harbor Fest.....So mysef, and 2 little old ladies walked away with the "Cadillac of Lawn Furniture" for pennies on the dollar. The hard part was stuffin' it in my truck, along with my music junk. So I still have the table, Geert has the recliner, and I have a song about a guy trying to connect to his Irish roots by visiting his Patio.....Apologies to Brian Kennedy, actually somewhere in Ireland! And again, everything played by Billy! Even the IRA bomb..

Lotus Blossom....hmmmm, might be symbolic for something else that grows outa the ground, as this song was popular in the "Viper" period, in the 30s....Piper does the fragile thing with such poise, eh? And Piper and Viper rhyme...hmmm, might there be a connection?

Stickin it Out for You..Double endondre (?), double meaning, but fun blues tune. Billy plays all, exceptin' chick Vocals by my buddy Abi G. Ummm, last time I heard, she was in the slammer for passing bad checks. Girls' got the blues for a many number of reasons, don't git me goan....but I want to...

Goldenboy A song that was inspired by an email exchange with Harry Shearer, the Bass player in "Spinal Tap"...He was given the bizness to Rupert Murdoch, and I asked him if he was Rupert's "Golden Boy" , since he is a voice on the "Simpsons" (he said he is not, and I belive him-Catch him at www.harryshearer.com) ...Harry is hysterical, and he answers his email, so it got me thinkin about those that we put on a pedestal...

Soundtrack For Slackers. Need your own soundtrack? Hear ya go-Everything played by Billy, including Didgereedoo. This was done backwards, where the Didge was recorded first, and then everything stacked on top. Now, go make yer movie!!!

She Once Lived Here......a tribute to Roy Buchanon, a song that he did....He was such a GREAT player...Man, this is a sad instumental, evan if ya didn't know the title.Sad sad sad sad.....

Second Hand Smoke. Country Scorcher, done with permission by Forrest Lee Jr of Nashville, a burnin Nashwille session dude.Google Forrest, he's a nice guy, and a monster player.......Won a guitar with this tune....
